General Notary Questions

What is a mobile notary?

A mobile notary is a commissioned Notary Public who travels to your location to notarize documents. Instead of visiting a bank or office, the notary comes to your home, office, hospital, senior living facility, or another convenient meeting place.

What areas do you serve?

Stamp N’ Go Notary serves Delray Beach and surrounding areas throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties, including Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Ft Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens, and nearby communities.

For locations outside of Palm Beach or Broward County please call for pricing.

How does a mobile notary appointment work?

Once you request an appointment, we confirm the details, including your location, documents, and preferred time. The notary then travels to you, verifies identification, witnesses signatures as required, and completes the notarization.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You will need:

  • A valid, government-issued photo ID
  • The complete document(s) that need notarization
  • Any required signers present at the time of appointment

Please do not sign documents ahead of time unless specifically instructed.

How much does a mobile notary cost?

All prices are based on zip code.  The first notarization is always included in your quote.  Each additional notarization is just $10.

You can fill out our online request form and receive a pricing estimate before hitting submit, or feel free to call, text, or email for a quote.

What is considered a notarization?

Each time the notary is required to sign and stamp is considered one notarization.  Each notarization, after the first, is an additional $10.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, ACH transfer, and all major credit cards.

Optional Services

Can you print my documents?

Yes. Printing services are available for clients who need documents printed before their appointment. Please let us know the number of pages when requesting your appointment so we may provide accurate pricing.

Can you scan documents after they are signed?

Yes. Signed documents can be scanned and returned electronically when requested. We do not travel with portable scanners so anything more than 10 pages will require the documents be brought back to our office for scanning. Additional fees may apply depending on the size of the document package.

Can you deliver documents to another location?

In some cases, yes. Document delivery may be available to law offices, title companies, shipping locations, or other designated recipients. Please inquire when scheduling for availability and pricing.

Can you ship my documents?

Yes. Shipping services may be available upon request. Shipping costs and any applicable service fees will be discussed in advance.

My documents Require witnesses but I dont know anyone who can act as witness. can you provide witnesses?

In many cases, yes. Witnesses may be available with advance notice for an additional fee. If your document requires witnesses, please let us know when requesting your appointment so we can confirm availability and discuss any applicable fees.

If the signing is taking place at a hospital, rehabilitation center, nursing home, or assisted living facility, it is important not to assume that facility staff will be available to serve as witnesses. Many facilities have policies that prohibit employees from acting as witnesses for resident or patient documents. If witnesses are needed, we recommend making arrangements in advance.

Identification & Signing Requirements

What type of ID is required?

Florida law requires a valid, government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID card. The ID must not be expired.  Foreign passports must contain a stamp from USCIS showing legal entry to the USA as per Florida law.

What if I don’t have proper ID?

If you do not have acceptable identification, we may be unable to complete the notarization. In some cases, credible witnesses may be used if they meet legal requirements. If you or any other party signing the documents, including the witnesses, do not have proper identification please call to discuss your options.

Do witnesses need to provide identification?

Stamp N’ Go Notary requires all individuals signing a document, including witnesses, to present unexpired government-issued photo identification. The identification information will be recorded in the notary’s journal as part of our standard recordkeeping procedures.

Can you notarize documents that are already signed?

In most cases, documents must be signed in the notary at the time of notarization. Please wait to sign unless instructed otherwise.  If you have already signed the document, please contact us to discuss if it needs to be reprinted or if it can be notarized based on you acknowledging the signature in front of the notary.

Do all signers need to be present?

Not necessarily. However, each person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary at the time their signature is notarized and must provide valid identification. Depending on the document, signers may be able to sign separately and have their signatures notarized at different times or locations.  If your document requires witnesses, the witnesses must be present at the time of signing.

Loan Signings & Real Estate Documents

What is a loan signing agent?

A loan signing agent is a notary who assists with the signing of real estate loan documents by verifying identity, witnessing signatures, and ensuring notarizations are completed correctly.  They have often taken additional training to be familiar with the documents included in a seller’s package, buyer’s package, refinance, or reverse mortgage.

Do you explain loan documents?

Notaries cannot provide legal or financial advice or explain the meaning of loan documents. The notary’s role is to ensure documents are properly signed and notarized.

How long does a loan signing take?

Most loan signings typically take between 45 minutes and 90 minutes depending on the number of documents.

Apostille & International Authentication Services

What is an apostille?

An apostille is a form of document authentication used for international use in countries that are part of the Hague Apostille Convention.

What if the country receiving my document does not participate in the Hague Apostille Convention?

If the destination country is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, your document will typically need to go through a process called authentication and legalization rather than obtaining an apostille. This often involves additional steps, such as authentication by the Florida Secretary of State, certification by the U.S. Department of State, and legalization by the destination country’s embassy or consulate. If you’re unsure which process your document requires, we can help determine the appropriate authentication path based on the destination country.

What documents can be apostilled?

Common documents include birth certificates, marriage certificates, power of attorney documents, school records, and business documents.

Do you handle the apostille process?

Yes. We can help coordinate the notarization and submission process required to obtain an apostille in Florida.

How long does the apostille process take?

Processing times vary depending on the issuing authority and document type. Timeframes will be explained based on your specific situation at the time of service.  When needed the process can be expedited for an additional fee.

Wedding Officiant Services

Can a Notary Public perform a wedding ceremony in Florida?

Yes. Florida is one of the few states that authorizes Notaries Public to solemnize marriages. As Florida-commissioned Notary Public, we can perform wedding ceremonies anywhere within the State of Florida.

Do we need a marriage license before the ceremony?

Yes. You must obtain a valid Florida marriage license before the ceremony can be performed. The license must be presented at the time of the ceremony.

Is there a waiting period before we can get married?

Florida residents may be subject to a three-day waiting period unless they complete a qualifying premarital preparation course, while non-Florida residents are generally exempt.  The date your certificate becomes valid is printed on the certificate.

We are having a ceremony somewhere else. Can you just sign the certificate?

No. Florida law requires a Notary Public to solemnize the marriage before completing the marriage certificate. If you would like the  Notary to officiate your marriage, they must perform a ceremony, even if you will have a separate ceremony with family and friends. The standard ceremony is brief and takes approximately five minutes to complete.

Can we bring our own vows?

Yes. Many couples choose to write their own vows, and we are happy to incorporate them into the ceremony.

Will you file the marriage license after the ceremony?

Yes, if the certificate was issued in Palm Beach or Broward County we can return it to the appropriate Clerk of Court for recording.  Additional fees apply.
